Frontier Sports Media was founded in May 2013, with the aim of providing grass roots sporting competitions with the opportunity to promote themselves. Using knowledge of grass roots sport gathered over more than 30 years, we are looking to assist sports and competitions in raising their profile in a very affordable way.

The team at Frontier Sports Media have been proud to be associated with the promotion of the Mortlock Football League in 2014 and 2015, providing live audio stream broadcasts and podcasts of their three sporting competitions.

In 2016, we travelled all around Western Australia during the football season, following a game from a different league each weekend. We travelled over 32,000km to see 102 matches, getting to games by plane, by car and by foot.

We attended matches from each of the state's 30 senior leagues, as well as W.A.'s match against Tasmania at Bassendean in June, W.A. Country's visit to Adelaide Oval to take on S.A. Country in July, the Great Southern and Northern Regions Colts Carnivals in June and also the Landmark Carnival in Perth in July.

Each League match and Carnival day witnessed was reviewed as a podcast and we also provided provide quarter by quarter coverage of more than a dozen matches which can be accessed at the WA Footy Traveller Facebook page.

Our travels will be recorded for posterity in a book which will cover every league and every senior club in W.A., and we will also look into issues that are relevant to grassroots football in W.A. and look at grassroots football's 'footprint' on the Fremantle Dockers and the West Coast Eagles.

The book is intended for release in 2017.

We are proud to announce the launch of a weekly sports podcast, The Hip & Shoulder, which will air for the first time on Wednesday January 4, 2017.

The podcast will be hosted by Frontier Sports Media's own Derek Mott and Jacob Landsmeer, who will review the weekend in local and international sport with a touch of humour as well as dealing with the serious side of sport.
